Thierry Sergent - Chief Executive Officer

Thierry Sergent, 51, has a Master degree from a French Engineer school (ENSTA). He started his career as Financial Controller at Philips, founded a Consultant company dedicated to IT solutions, bought, through an LBO, an industrial company, developed and sold this company to Dover (NYSE listed Holding Company), then invested in various companies and gave them some support. Among them were BestOfMedia, a now leading Internet Publisher focused on technologies, and Expway

Claude Seyrat - VP Marketing and Strategy and Co-founder

Claude, an EXPWAY co-founder, has extensive experience in multimedia content distribution and management. He was Chairman and Editor of several television standards committees dedicated to MPEG, TV-Anytime and DVB. He led the deployment of the first DVB-H Electronic Service Guide System in the world, in Italy.
Claude is currently in charge of Strategy and Marketing at EXPWAY, where he works closely with operators, content owners and manufacturers to design new services for their end-users.
Claude holds a Ph.D. in Multimedia Content Search and Indexing from University of Paris.

Cedric Thienot - Chief Scientist Officer and Co-founder

Cedric co-founded EXPWAY and is currently Chief Scientist Officer. After completing a Ph.D. in Computer Science at University of Paris IV, specializing in pseudo-intuitionistic logic and knowledge representation, Cedric joined the multimedia indexing team at University of Paris VI, where he directed its MPEG-7 research program for two years, making extensive contributions to the MPEG-7 Description Definition Language (DDL) from the initial stages. While continuing his work on DDL, Cedric is involved in the system groups, where he contributed to the development of the binary format of MPEG-7 (BiM).
Cedric also holds a Computer Science Engineer's degree from Ecole Centrale in Lyon, France.

Nicolas Andrieu - Sales Director

Nicolas is EXPWAY Sales Director with the mission of setting up the sales process and establishing the business development strategy for the company. He joined EXPWAY in 2005
Nicolas began his career in 1993 at the French Ministry of Foreign affairs, in charge of cultural and technical cooperation in Yemen. In 1995, he joined Dassault Electronique, heading Middle East business development for its electronic warfare products.
In 1997, he was hired by Thales (formerly Thomson-CSF), the French defense electronics giant/conglomerate, and put in charge of business development for electronic warfare activities in the Middle East and North America. In 2000, he joined CANAL+ Technologies, the technology arm of Vivendi Universal, as manager of Asian sales. In 2001, he was promoted General Manager, in charge of business development for the Asia-Pacific region.
Nicolas has a BA from the Institut Supérieur de Gestion and graduated from the ESSEC Executive MBA program in 2004.

Nicolas Higelin - Chief Technical Director

Nicolas joined Expway in 2006 as Chief Technical Director.
He has 18 years experience in the Wireless, Mobile & Telecommunications industry as software team manager.
Prior to EXPWAY, from 1995 to 2006 he held various positions at WAVECOM, managing software teams involved in the creation, development, integration and delivery of 2G & 3G mobile software products.
From 1992 to 1994, he worked for FRANCE TELECOM as Technical Project Leader in charge of paging network platform upgrades. He began his career in 1989, designing & developing software for the GSM Base Station at MATRA COMMUNICATION.
Nicolas graduated from ENSIMAG, an information science and applied mathematics school in Grenoble.

Jerome Leplatre - Financial Director

Jerome joined EXPWAY in 2007 as Financial Director.
He began his career in 1983 as Auditor at ARTHUR ANDERSEN. In 1985, he became CFO of 3Com Corporation, a leading network data equipment company. In 1991 he was named CFO of ARCHE Communication, a leader in network integration services. He left the company in 2006, as the company was expanding to 600 employees and passing the 150 million revenue mark.
Jerome graduated from the 'Ecole des cadres' business school in 1981. In 1983, he earned an MBA from the International Management University of Dallas, Texas.

Stephanie Manfrini - Corporate Secretary

Stephanie is currently Corporate Secretary.
Before joining Expway in 2002, Stephanie was a Senior Consultant at ARTHUR ANDERSEN, specializing in risk consulting for financial services. She began her career at the ALLIANZ insurance company, where she held various positions in financial control, both at the corporate level and in specialized insurance branches (transportation). She also played an active role in reorganizing the processes, IT systems and reporting methods for the Marine & Aviation business during the critical merger of AGF, PFA and ALLIANZ.
Stephanie holds a BA from the Grenoble Management School and an MBA in Audit and Management Control from the Management Institute of Paris.

Eric Theron - Chief Operating Officer and Sales Manager for NAM.

Eric has spent more than 20 years in the Telecom and Media industry, heading a number of large business units.
He began his career in 1985 at SCHLUMBERGER, co-founded DIGITEC S.A. and later joined MATRA HAUTE TECHNOLOGIE, where he managed the Advanced Image Processing units in a number of French and European programs. In 1995, he created L.H.P.C. (Laboratory for High Performance Computing), a joint research initiative between MATRA, INRIA, ENS-Lyon, and CNRS.
In 2000, he joined EADS-SYCOMORE as Head of the Telecom & Media business, managing about 100 people and developing middleware, back-office software and architectures for operators, broadcasters, and media companies. In 2003, this business merged with EADS Telecom, were he developed IPTV platforms and IP data infrastructures over the EADS Mobile Radio Tetrapol system. In 2004, he sold the IPTV activity to THOMSON Telecom, giving rise to the Telecom Systems & Solutions department, dedicated to developing transverse platforms that are complementary to THOMSON Set Top Boxes and the GRASSVALLEY Encoding activity.
Eric has an engineering degree from E.N.S.T., a leading French university specializing in Telecom.
